I have a small rant. The search function only allows searches of 3 letters or more. Is there anyway to change this? I know myself and other forum members would like to search for terms with two letters...and I know it would benefit other members. Searches such as "DC" , "DV", "SB" "6M" "VI" "HR" etc etc would be very helpful for members seeking info on that topic! Please mods, do what you can to change this!! End rant.

I'm not sure if that is a funciton of Vbulletin or a function that we can set up. I took a quick look and didn't find any way to set the parameters related to the minimum number of characters for a search. We'll have to so some additional work on this to see what it would entail to seach in the manner suggested. It may not be possible.

If you could configure two letters/numbers + a space before or after that would be good enough for me .... I have expereinced the same problem sometimes

I've been on vB boards where two-character searches work (though everyone was using vB2 then), so I know it's possible. But a two-character search feature would drastically increase the site's search index, and that in turn would drastically increase the strain on the server.

You could search "Meyer *6m*" and that should do it I believe.
