I am posting this here as an opportunity to Cannonball aficionados. A local music shop where my son works is currently are trying to move an unlacquered Knight tenor for only $1050, as the local population seems to like shinier horns. This pro horn has been on display for 2-3 years, but is perfect except for being a nice vintage-looking tarnish color. It is more resonant and louder than the identical model in lacquer that my son plays. It could probably be had for less...if you call them on the phone. I'm tempted to buy it myself, but I really don't need more tenors...
