I've recently come into the possession of a King Cleveland 615 tenor and I need a mouthpiece. I'm a beginner and I'm looking for a mouthpiece and possibly reed suggestions. Thanks for any help offered!

Yes. I'd recommend a Berg Larsen HR or metal. Since you're a beginner, I'd stay conservative/middle of the road. 90-100 tip opening, 2 or 3 chamber. As far as reeds go, Bergs seem to work best w/ rico brand reeds. I'd try Rico Jazz, Lavoz, Rico Royal. 2.5 to 3 strgth depending upon what you like.
Many players, including myself, feel that Martin and King horns work best w/ somewhat smaller chamber pieces. They seem to complement the horn. Bergs shld do this for you w/o being too bright.

Thanks for the advice! I'm only $100 into this horn, and I've been playing it with the mouthpiece off of my Armstrong Alto, so hopefully the Berg Larson is larger.
