I read that PM saxophones were actually made by Albest.
Is this the case, or does PM have it's own factory ?

Apologies if this has been asked before but I tried the search without any joy.

Thanks.

Definitely a connection there. This appears at the bottom of their home page http://www.pmauriatmusic.com/index.htm.

"Albest Musical Instruments Co, Ltd, Copyright c Albest All Rights Reserved."

Anyone know what other brand names are manufactured by Albest?

Here's a thread from the past with some information in the last post.

If albest has control of the brand and makes all of the horns then I would say they are not a stencil.

If albest makes the horns and doesn't have any interest in the P.M. name then I would say it depends on if they are exclusive horns to P.M. if they are a true "stencil". If albest uses the tubes and basic keywork for more than one "brand" then I believe that is the definition of stencil.
