Every once in a while (all the time) I make mistakes in my typing which don't get caught untill after I have posted. Sometimes I get an "edit" option and other times I don't. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a quick response or a regular reply. I am always logged in when I am here and can't figure out where the edit option goes or why.
Any insight into what I may be doing or not doing?
Edited for spelling errors - why now and not my last post??

Good question Carl. Some of the forums, such as those in the marketplace, have editing turned off so that sellers can't change their price and buyers their offer. If you are in a forum where it doesn't make sense to not be able to edit a post, feel free to ping one of the SOTW staff.
Is that a bad storm brewing on your avatar? 8-)

Just a rainy spring day.
I have noticed some sellers updating their listings to indicate items have been sold. How do they do that?
Next time I don't get the edit box - where appropriate - who do I contact? or should I just link from here?

That's not true about all the forums in the marketplace. The "Mouthpieces Wanted/For Sale" forum for example. Sellers are constantly editing their posts there. I thought that was by design because mouthpieces are a relatively inexpensive item. Here are a couple of examples:
