UK prices !!

HOLY HOLY. Look at the PM prices @ www.saxophones.co.uk

That's a lot of cash when you can have a proven 'Big 4' for the same money (Or less) !!

How does this compare with the U.S ??

The basic ones look reasonable, if they live up to the hype, but the fancy ones are overpriced. I suggest, like anything other than the big 4, they won't hold their value either. Look what happened to the prices of the Unison Goodson horns.

Got this e-mail today from my local shop in Romford Saxpro www.sax-pro.com):

'Hi. Just though we should advise everyone that we have three P Mauriat saxophones in stock. Mauriat are the new makers that are getting just about every review going on about the new Mark 6. They are made from french brass which makes them quite heavy. We have them in the old antique finish. The PMXA67R is the Alto with rolled tone holes. We also have the PMSA 67 alto and the PMST66 Tenor. I expect you to do some research on these first but we have them here for PMXA67R£1,200 : thePMSA 67 alto for £1,100: PMST66 Tenor for £1,494. Any questions just ask.'

This is £200 cheaper than saxophones.co.uk for the tenor...
