Anyone knows this model???? Some reference about this sax? Please, if anyone knows about the differences with other series (969 etc.) or anything about this, please tell me all the possible information.
My contribution: Here, in Chile, this is the top line Jupiter (only alto model) and sale about U$1450 (Yes, Jupiter saxes are more cheap here than U.S.A.), and looks and play very nice.
Well, itīs all folks.

Hello,
Can you tell us a little more about the saxophone. Is it laquer or silver plated. Is the neck brass or sterling silver. KHS makes a line a step above the 900 series, but it is not avalible in the US. Do you like the way it plays?

Hi Kemtone, actually my interest is share impressions about this sax, but i donīt know anybody (except a friend and i) that was tried this model. Anyway, i can say many things about tihs sax (visually speaking), but like somebody says: an image is better than 1000 words. I share the pics in the next post.
By other side, Itīs a well made machine, really soft keywork, i have a relatively small hands but i can reach all without a problem. Good intonation and very nice sound with the correct setup. I try first with a Vandoren Jumbo Java A45: Definitively not my sound, so bright for me, maybe good for rock or pop. Then a Meyer 5M SC, good mp for this sax, a warm and darker tone accordingly to a sound what a seek. Then a Vandoren V16 A6M, is like a Meyer, more focused, but with the typical buzzzzz of the vandoren`s mps. Not bad. And the last, a really old Selmer Soloist D Short Shank: Nice sound, velvety dark tone but a little wild (hard to control).
Well, if anyone can say anything about this model, welcome. Bye.

PD: Stay tuned for the pictures.

i have the same saxophone.. (JAS-2069) and i use a standard selmer D (and E) with a Vandoren Blue box 3 1/2 reed. and a dark leather ligature... and i have a really great sound... it isnt the best saxophone in the world! but i find that it is the best i have found!!! i had a artist 869 alto and i hated it! and i have at 889SG tenor sax.. and i love it... so it varies!! but i find that this is a good horn for someone who is in collage
