I just started learning the tenor sax. However, whenever I try to play a note, no matter what fingering I use I get the same note. I don't know if it makes a difference but it is a Buescher. Please help me!
I hope you have a beginning book with a fingering chart and a good experienced private teacher, (unless you've played other woodwinds).
If you're just beginning, a good teacher can help you with embouchure, reeds, and air.
Check out the opening page of the forum and read Paul Coats' articles in the Beginners Corner. Lot of good info there.
You can learn a lot by reading, but nothing can replace a teachers help in the beginning. Good luck and have fun! :D

you probably hit the wrong key with the index of your left hand, infact I believe that you (I did the same and only on tenor and never on alto) infact hit the quick F so, regardles of what you play, you will get one tone only. One can learn a lot on his or her own, a teacher can help very much indeed but this kind of things do not necessarily call for tutorship.
