I'm writing to ask for your prayers. My brother has been taken into hospital very ill. He has pneumonia with borderline septisemia.
He's on 24-hour watch and could slip into a coma in the next two days. They're pumping all the drugs they can into him at dangerous levels just to turn him around. God, just writing this frightens me. I didn't see him, but what Mum and Dad have said since coming from the hospital, sounds dreadful.
I don't know if you are religious, but please pray for him. He needs to get well again because I couldn't live without him.

Thank you. My brother is being very brave and when I have spoken to him on the phone he SOUNDS fine. Of course, I can't go to visit him because of my allergies, but Mum and Dad go to visit.
Mum says although he says he's okay, he really isn't. He looks dreadful! The doctors are concerned that his blood pressure is very low and he has a lot of fluid pressuring his lungs, making it hard for him to breathe. They are going to try some meds over the next couple of days to fix this. I am praying very hard it will.
Even with my scary-near-death times, I didn't need all the tubes he has. After the medications took hold on me and I got home, I was safe and just needed care. My brother is a different story. He has tubes coming out just about everywhere they can shove them.
I'm being strong for my parents. They need me and I'm going to keep trying my best. Somehow God will help us. Right now, I want my brother well again and in front of my window, to stir up.

I just wanted to write and thank everyone for their thoughts during our worrying time. My little brother is meant to be the healthy one of the family! (Mum and I have MCS; Dad is partially disabled from a car crash).
My brother was discharged from hospital today and seems to be on the mend. He still has a lot of meds and check-ups for the pneumonia and the stomach ulcers they found. We're going to be taking special care of him for a while yet. Mum's been spoiling him, which is fine by me, but I'd like to be able to strangle him for being so thoughtless of himself. (Not that I can!) Just having him home has lifted my spirits.
Some things will be changing in his life and we're going to make sure he never puts his own needs behind his friends' again. He has to learn to stand on his own two feet.
To everyone, thank you. Your hearts are so precious and appreciated.
