I've recently started to learn how to play a tenor sax. I've found it hard to produce my high G succesfully and go from high to low notes. Any tips on techniques or helpful links would be helpful, thanks!

you could either use more air or get harder reeds

Do you mean the G in the second octave, or an altissimo G? If it is the G in the second octave, have your sax checked as it is around there that the saxophone swaps from one octave vent to another, and you may have a blocked hole, one that isn't opening properly, or the other one not shutting cleanly. If you are talking about an altissimo G, that is a hard note to hit and may take a lot of diligent practice.

Im pretty new too and it sounds to me like your not tounging and trying to slur from high to low which is difficult to do at first especially. Try tounging between the change which also gives you a very brief time to readjust your mouth and jaw. Slow down on the changes and see if that helps...the reed advice may be helpful too ....depending you may be pinching off and not releasing enough when you drop your pitch...you sould be able to do it, however with what ever reed your comfortable with....unless its real soft and its a real close mouthpiece. Good luck...you will get it.
