 My Vito tenor has some of the worst low notes ever blown out of a sax. I know it is not me because I can give great sounds on other horns. I just changed the mouthpiece and it does the same thing.

If you have any ideas I would like them.

Register problems can usually be blamed on: 1. Embouchure. 2. Breathcontrol. 3. Mouthpiece/Ligature/reed type and setup. 4. leaks in pad/tonehole and key adjustment problems. If you can eleminate the first three, and since the Vito models ARE student grade, then it must be the fourth issue giving you trouble. I would take it to a competent tech and have him give it a look. Good luck.

I would say 'leaks' which can not only be on the pads, but at neck cork, neck socket or bow if any of those are not tight- and accurate-fitting.

Get the horn to a good repairman.
