i recently bought a White Hall Bari sax from one of my Conducter's friends. the problem i have is that i was in Singapore when i bought it, and now im in Texas. When i was going to the repair shop a day ago, the repair man told me that he "didn't work on Walmart horns".

does anyone know about this brand??

there isn't allot of info. on the net. so far no one i know has heard of it, and i cant get ahold of the guy i bought it from. the only thing he told me when i bought it was that it was a intermediate/pro horn.

the only rumor ive heard is that it is an off-brand of Yanagisawa.

please help me on this

Take your horn to another tech, the one you mentioned is CLUELESS! Whitehall is a stencil by Yanagisawa and the same as they made under their own name at the time. These can be excellent horns! Take a look at the guards, octave mechanism, etc., and you should see Made in Japan someplace and the Yani symbol. Mine had the yani logo on the left side pants guard. I had an alto for a while that had a beautiful and sweet tone, a very nice horn. Your bari should be a really good horn as well.

Whitehall...stencil of a Yani 901 Bari, like the Vito VSP.

You have an excellent Bari.

I've got one of the Vito's, EXCELLENT horns! I second the notion you find a different tech.

Lucky it wasn't a monique or zeus etc, he may have hit it with a hammer!! New tech required or at least give him the benefit of telling him its a yani

When i was going to the repair shop a day ago......

If it's the repair shop I'm thinking of, this doesn't surprise me at all! That's why I haven't been back there in years.
