Hello everyone,
I am located in Montreal Canada, and have been in the business for 8 years. Everytime I sell a Mark VI, people askme if the neck has the serial number engraved on it. Was this an option for the US market saxophones, because in 8 years, I have seen only two here with the serial number engraved. Our senior repair tech, who has been in the businees for over 50 years, has not seen much either. Any comments wil be appreciated.

Thank you very much,
John

Hi, I think you are posting on behalf of Twigg-Musique, isn't it?
I shop at your store often.

Regarding the Mark VI neck sn, as Roland told you it is frequent not to see them since Selmer stopped putting a sn on necks around 110K (if I remember correctly, I read it here in the Selmer area). That's bad because you basically can't tell if the neck is the original one or a replacement.

My 151K Mark VI, recently overhauled by Roland, does not have it.

For a reference point, my alto and tenor Mark vi's, in the S/N 8xxxx range both have have matching numbers on the necks .
