As per your F.A.Q. section, I found out ( by the serial number ) that my old E.K. Blessing alto sax ( silver finish ) would have been made in the U.S.A. before 1935. Were the U.S. Blessing instruments of that period well considered at that time? Anybody knows?

I like the sax, but I'm just curious about it's history and quality on the market at that time. I'm pretty sure it's not a stencil, it's very old  .

Thanks for any feedback.

Personally, I have never found Any Blessing instrument to actually be a Blessing. I think this has more to do with the people running the company then anything because as bad as most of their instruments may be, they usually have Very good potential once modified a little.... but the bigwigs at Blessing refuse to believe that there is anything wrong with their horns.

As to your current Blessing, if it plays well, who cares? Thats all that matters. The older Blessings arent that bad.

Rob - I suspect the limit of people's knowledge of old Blessings has probably been reached in your previous post: http://raxontheweb.myforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=4702&highlight=

What are the clues that lead you to believe it's not a stencil?
