I found one of these for not too much at all, and was curious to if they played well at all. I couldn't find anything for the Pre-Martin years for Indiana Band..

Is that a good thing? :) So they worked hand in hand before they merged with Martin?

From my site
In 1928, Martin acquired controlling interest in The Indiana Band Instrument Company, which operated as a separate company until 1942, when it moved under the flag of Martin to become the producer of student line instruments, a strong growing market at that time.
The Indiana's before 1942, could well be stencils from Handcrafts, which in there days where considdered pro horns. So quality would be as good as other stencils.
But there is still a lot to learn about Indiana's.

I have checked out your site(nice one, BTW). I compared the sax in question n with various Handcraft pictures and they could be twins. I guess I'll take the chance and see how it plays. Thanks :)
