Please, I need some help here !!!

I have a Tenor MK VI 226xxx series which is somehow beat up, it has a part in the bell area that has been repared and a couple of soldered areas, but it plays beautiful. When I bought it last year, seems that someone repaded and repaired it, so I don't like the fact that is has "few" cosmetic problems, but it plays beautiful.

Now, I bough last week another MK VI 195xxx series which I received today and besides two minor dents and the clothes guard missing it looks very good, however it sounds like crap and is asking for a complete overhaul urgently, the pads are like crap.

What should I do, keep the 226 and send the 195 back or do the overhaul in the 195 and sell the 226???

I think you'd be a fool to sell a good Mk VI just to repair another which might not play as well, simply because the "new" one looks better. How it sounds is infinitely more important than how it looks.

I'd suggest just holding off on the 195k overhaul until you can afford it without selling your 226k. If you can't afford to have two of them for much longer, then sell the 195k on Ebay.
