School Song

Hey everybody!
for the past few months I have been trying to write an arrangement of our schools alma mater for our wind ensemble, which is exceptional. However, I have made so many attempts but have not one bar written that I actually like. ANy advice would be greatly appreciated.

And keep in mind that you have heard the melody dozens of times, and everyone else has never heard it. One of the dillemas composers face. :|
