Hi again,i sent my tenor yesterday for part x on a yamaha yts 275 the guy who is doing the deal is very well know and an excellent saxophonist and teacher,he contacted me this morning to say he recived my sax,and then,he informs there is a dent in the bottom of the case, also he said it played ok but the octave key was taking its time closing,im not really sure what he meant but he said the crook ect was in excellent shape and there was no damage to the sax,im devistated as he has to have it checked tomorrow and whatever the outcome im not going to have a sax for a week, bearing in mind ive played for 2 hours every day for 5 months,as the word of chicargo, you dont know what you got until its gone,i hope nothing bad is wrong with my sax or ive lost out big time!.If it is damaged can i claim off post for it.

i feel for you man

however, it's the perfect reason why you should get a 2nd sax. :)

just been informed the sax has a faulty octave key mechanism which is down to the bad manufacture of the mechanism,im busy speaking to the seller i purchased it off in jan 2006,i suspect it is still under manufactures warranty. theres even more time to wait!

Yeah, I agree Daktion.

I just yesterday, Picked up a pretty nice YTS 52 for a pittiance to put with my Buescher tenor. Its a really a pretty nice horn. I have a backup Bundy II alto for my King alto, but If my Martin Bari acts up I dont know what I will do, I play it way more than my other horns! I think Im gonna look into getting a Low A bari this summer

Luther, I know its no fun to not have you baby for a while, but Find stuff you can work on with out it until you have it again. Maybe practice piano?
