I started a thread under "General Saxophone- B flat tenor" in which I asked forum users how they prefered their spring tension. Turns out, there is some question (at least in my mind) as to whether there are different kinds of springs (blued springs, etc) and questions (my mind again) as to whether tighter spring tension facilitates faster playing.
I now wish I had posted this elsewhere - perhaps in the technician section.
What I would like to do is ask a couple of questions about this on the tech section - did the Mark VI come with Blued springs, can they be changed out, how much would it cost, would it faciltate faster key action, etc.
May I do that, or would that be a double post?
