Weinstock founded Prestige Records in 1949, he died last week of complications resulting from diabetes. He was an underrated genius behind the microphone, if not for anything else, for the people he put in front of the microphone. John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy and many, many others.
