Hey everyone, i need some help. I'm a freshman in high school, (th grade, and have been playing since sixth grade. I use a Vito LeBlanc student model alto sax that i don't like much, but have to deal with due to lack of funds. Anyway, I started High School Jazz Band for Peach County High in Georgia this semester and my band director wants me to play the solos and whatnot. I need advice on some good mouthpeices I could use. I need to find a good open sound, but controllable. If it helps any, I use Vandoren size 3 reeds.

El Mariachi: I started my grandson out on one of my Meyers (6S-Medium Chamber to be specific). He's 15 now (10th grade) playing alto in his school's jazz band. His solo work is beautiful - great tone, using a Yanagisawa 880 that I gave him. DAVE
