Hello...

We are the Inactivists. Recently our sax/clarinet/accordion guy left us for the sunny climes of Portland. While it would be nice, we don't realistically expect anyone to play all of those instruments - we just need something to fill the void. Are you up to the challenge? We've already got a theremin and ukulele.

As for the kind of music we make - it's a little hard to describe. But if you go to http://www.inactivists.com/sing.html we have a bunch of MP3s up that might give you a better idea.

Anyway, if you're interested (or know of someone else who might be) drop us a line at scot@inactivists.com

Hi Inactivists,
Sorry to disapoint you but I'm not volunteereing to fill the post. It's just our band leader/first trumpet/composer has decided he wants to add a theremin to our strengh ( sax section, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, cuban percusions + steel pan bass on wheels ). While I have nothing against the theremin, I even once got a couple of hours to try one out and had great fun, I have my doubts as to how it's going to fit in with the rest of our instrumentation ; and we're marching ... I wonder if you can put a theremin on wheels ?
Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for the link to your MP3, I'll have our beloved chief listen to them and see how things develop ...;)
