come on up and diG the ever swinging and beautiful
claire daly- a great baritone sax player. she'll be playing some rahsaan and some dexter and more.

the band is swingin' and claire is a tunesmith of the highest level.
she picks great tunes, knows how to get a set cookin' and has
one of the coolest rhythm sections. eli and peter are just perfect, and
niki on bass swings like ray brown and major holley. i loooove her bass playing.

I urge you...this is a club that means a lot, in a city, that has " few"
real JAZZ clubs like this. ( if not maybe ONLY this one:( )
SUPPORT LIVE JAZZ...if your in town go by and dig Claires music.
It's in the Lincoln Center area, and a beautiful spot.

I'm going probably on Friday. I met her at a festival we both played in Wilmington Deleware. Very down to earth, great player.

baribassdan- maybe, if there's no transit strike I'll see you there :|

Claire is a bright moment in the eb horns history. She's got the education,
the dues, has biography out there on her life in music.

In a fair world....she'd be as popular as Nora Jones. 8-)

baribassdan- if you talk to her tell her Tim sent ya, she'll crack up.
She's a card carrying bad a~s For sure- enjoy:D

Tim, I ended up going yesterday (Wednesday). I forgot to tell her you sent me, sorry. I saw 2 killing baritone players in the same day, first Fred Ho with the Brooklyn Sax Quartet, then Claire. As a baritonist myself, it's great to hear others on the big horn, a rare and inspirational treat. Don't let the strike stop you. I walked 53 blocks to hear Fred. It felt great.

Dan-glad you went.......REAL LIFE is vital to the saxophone. To many just get the "net" life going and its like freeze dried vs beans- lol:D
Caffine and internet aside......haha,,,,
CLAIRE ROCKS.
I'm in Friday for work of my own, and a recoding with some latin cats, so I'll probally head up there later. Yea- Fred Ho- cool. 53 blocks, great for you and your long tones.;) You'll never be Leo Parker if you cab:!:

Keep on- its great to see SOMEONE who steps out to hear the music.
I bet you feel great from all that.
Have a great holiday- and be well.:)
