I'm wanting to play karaoke-style "Kenny G" stuff for weddings, but can't find any accompaniment CDs that don't cut the song in half. Aren't there any Kenny G accompaniment CD's out there?

...everybody hates kenny G? ....He's still our brother... :)
...anyway..,i will respond to your question...I think there's no available play-along for his songs...but you can use midi files for your playing...a lot of kenny G midis are out there... all you need is a midi player...(laptop,portable keyboards with floppy disk drive that reads SMF,GM..etc..)..
............hope it helps...

I found a midi file of Forever in Love (among other non-Kenny G songs) and loaded into a program called Midi Magician. It lets you balance the different instrument track volumes to your liking and even mute out the melody line. You can also load multiple songs and arrange them into a playlist for performances . It's great! The demo is functional enough for what I've used it for.

I found a Hal Leonard Duke Elington CD with "Sentimental Mood" in the same key as Kenny G, Take the Lead; Jazz will have "Disefinado" in the same key. I found a Kareoke CD with "At Last". I bought the Kenny G Key of G licks and I have been using what I could play. I hope this helps someone. I have been looking for "Summertime" for a while and have come up dry.

tangle, I believe that this company will make a backing CD for you and they carry G's hits. Not sure about prices. A midi file is $10.99 via email.

There's a lot of software out there that will do this for you with the click of a button. Some are shareware with demos & you may want to try them out. Since they are fairly simple, they're very cheap to pay for & register.

I use a program called Midi2Wav. It's incredibly easy to use & cheap!
