14 yrs old playing for 6 yrs now. suggestions??

I am 14 and auditioning for 2 seperate big bands this month. I have been playing an alto sax for 6 years. I just got a Selmer super action series II 80 for my graduation from junior high and I'm wandering if anyone can give me any tips on auditions. I am starting classes tomorrow for city jazz and will take those all month as well. I plan to make this my future career and have all family support. I am open to any suggestions anyone has.

Good for you! Whatever you play, give it plenty of expression and character. If you get to choose something to play, do something you are well on top of rather than something that is right at the limit of your capability which might have you nervous and tentative. Warm up thoroughly first. Good luck.
