Maybe so, and maybe this board costs more overseas than here in the US. Because I frequent another vBulletin board, here in NC, that doesn't have half the number of members, and it has multiple image posting capacity. Seems like with as many members as we have that we could scrape enough bread to gain that accessory. It sure would be nice.

Just saying my 2¢ worth.

I often find myself following a link to SOTWebber's site. That's the way to post pics, sound bites, and more. And there are many sites that are free such as MSN Spaces (http://spaces.msn.com). 8-)

Sorry. Accidentially got moved.

* We do have the ability to post attachments on this Forum. That has been disabled because of bandwidth issues.

* We can install the Coppermine Photo Gallery (http://coppermine-gallery.net/index.php) or one of the excellent vBulletin plug-ins, but it IS a bandwith issue thing: we're close (about 3/4 of the way there) to maxing out our bandwidth, monthly. At this very minute, for instance, we've used 42.5gb of our 60gb/month share.

Pictures use a LOT of bandwidth. A single "small" picture is about 250K. 4 views: that's 1mb in bandwidth. 4,000 views is 1gb. How many pictures per page? Bandwidth bill gets very high very quickly.

We can upgrade to 100gb per month IF someone can pony up an extra $10 per month for the entire year. Hmm. Let's see. Harri makes an average of about $1.41 on each calendar I sell, so that means I've gotta sell, whut, about 85 calendars ....

Well, we can get shared serverage with 150gb/month for an extra $20/month.

Maybe it's time for the 2006 fund drive? :D

Hey, there's still two months left to get the 2006 calendar and have it good for 12 months!

(And, of course, allow me to direct your attention to the "Support SOTW" dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner, where you can buy some of our fine merchandise <he says, taking a sip of water from his SOTWF mug> ....)

I remember that we had a discussion, in the past, regarding the color scheme of this Forum. I said, "You don't like the colors? Fine. Here are some links to get new schemes. If you find one you like, put up a poll. If it costs something, send in the cash and e-mail us the license number." No takers whatsoever.

Hey, we can't do everything for free. The forum costs $. The forum software costs $. Some of the improvements y'all want cost $.

I should repost the actual cost breakdown. Maybe later today. Hungry. Going to lunch.
