I had a Weiss Superior tenor sax come in the shop today. "Made in Germany" was stamped on the neck reciever. Rolled tone holes, G# trill, resopads (might not be original), articulated bell keys (Seperate lever and key, like on 12M baris), screw on guards with a hole for a felt holder, but the felt holder was on the actual key, nickel plated keys, and the strangest octave mechanism I've ever seen. It had 2 pips on the body, with a roller on the G key where it contacted the octave mechanism. It also had a strange neck screw, but I don't think I could type a description. I will post pictures in the near future.

Dos anyone have any ideas on who made it?

Never heard of that one, but it was Weltklang, Kohlert and Keilwerth who were the German stencil kings.

I was looking around on some websites to find any info I could on this horn. I can't find anything that looks like it, but the Rene Dumont alto on http://www.worldwidesax.com has a similar type of neck screw (goes straight into the reciever (but not like a martin where the screw was on the neck). I forgot to mention, the serian number is 033xx.
