Optional necks

I heard yesterday there will be optional necks available for P.Mauriats. They won't be available for several months.He said they will be available for all models. The one for my NS tenor is going to be a copy of a MarkVI neck. Anyone else know about this? I heard this from Monte Verde Music.

Yo BigZ,

I talked with Tim at Sax Alley about the new necks when I visited him last. From what I got, it was going to be in the Mark VI vein, which I don't understand. All the P. Mauriats I've tried, don't have the Selmer vibe. I bought my particular tenor because it sound like a vintage Martin. Tim didn't mention any dates, so I don't expect them out too soon. When they become official, I'll cruz out to Sax Alley and give them a honk and post my impressions here.

Tim now has these necks on his web site. I will be ordering one this week to see what it does tone-wise to the horn. I've had great success on different necks for my Couf.

Tom, Thanks for the "heads-up" about Tim/Sax Alley offering the Super Jazz VI neck for the P. Mauriat. I am already very happy with the stock neck that came with my PMXT-66R but curiosity has gotten the best of me so I too have ordered a new SJVI neck. I'll post my findings once I've gotten mine.
