I purchased a Nomad Jukebox 3 mp3 player/recorder and it is fantastic beyond my wildest dreams. I recorded our last gig through the line-in connection. It recorded a CD quality 44.1 wav file and can also record directly to mp3 files. It has a 20 GB hard drive so there is no worry about running out of space.

I store all our cover songs on it also and use it to learn the new songs. It has a slow down feature that plays back at 50% or 75% of original speed while maintaining pitch.

No, I don't work for Creative Labs. This mp3 player/recorder is much better than a Mini Disc recorder. I would recommend it to anyone.:D

I was actually thinking about getting one until I saw the price tag on it. If I remember correctly it was about twice the amount my minidisc player was. But the specs on it looked really really nice.

I took a look too, a bit pricey, and I didn't like the fact that you cannot monitor input while recording. :(

The technology is getting there though.

I bought it online at Comp-u-Plus.com for $196 after rebate. I haven't tried monitoring while recording, but I'll try next time and let you know if it works.

I would like a CD player (not too expensive, I'm a school teacher in the poorest state in the Union) that has pitch adjustments like the old turntables have / had + or - 5 % or so.
