I've been using piano off and on for a number of years mainly using it for piano voicings, transcribing, and some arranging. But I've never taken the trouble to actually learn to play the instrument.
Is there a method book that someone could recommend? I searched this site and came up with the following:
Alfred's Piano method for adults
"Voicings for Jazz Keyboard" by Frank Mantooth
Jerry Coker's Jazz Keyboard ("For Pianists and Non-Pianists") (I already have this one)
Hanon's fingering exercises
I'm looking for something that is good for general technique, so I guess a method book would be the way to go. BTW do method books typically show the fingerings for the right hand?
Thanks
