DOHH!!! G1!!!!!

Well, i just tried my YAS62 (II) with the old 62 neck and the tuning was spot on.

My standard 62 neck plays MILES Sharp at the top. I was just wondering what the procedure of getting the necks swapped is? Can you return only the neck? Or does the whole sax go back?

Call or e-mail Yamaha in Michigan and they should be able to give you a definitive answer. They replaced my 82Z flawed G1 neck with a revised G1 neck that resolved the intonation problem. I was requested to return a neck to them (obviously the initial flawed one went back).

Are you enjoying your 82Z? Alot of people have told me they're great saxes.

If the G1 neck is at fault, then its the business of the retailer from whom you bought it, to fix the problem.

If it came from abroad or there is no retailer involved, try contactin Yamaha in Milton Keynes - who may be able to help.

Alternatively, try Dawkes - who will sell you one by post.
