I need to do a Nyman piece with a altissimo A! - why... god knows!

I can play G's easily enough (well as one can on a nino) but I really can't figure out a reliable fingering for the A!

Any help would be appreciated!

I use LH 2 and 3, RH 2 and 3 with the low C ond Bb pressed (A,G E,D, low C, Bb). Every horn is different but I find by using the low C and Bb, it changes the venting so you may want to do without those. Fort to mention the octave key too!

I need to do a Nyman piece with a altissimo A! - why... god knows!Because the saxophone is by nature a 4 octave instrument, limited only by its player's lack of diligence in realizing its full capability to serve the composer's intent, you decadent slacker you.

Other than that...god knows why. We Americans have a doctrine called Manifest Destiny (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manifest_destiny) which may be of use here.

Is the rest of the piece playable on a soprillo? Or at least the part with the high A?

Well its on Soprano going over to Sopranino. Can't say I knew Buffet did a sopranino!

The fingerings surgested have been a great help. I just need to practice more on it!
