Just picked up one these on eBay...................:)

It doesn't have the fancy engraving or all of the 22 bells and whistles but I'm hoping it turns out to be a good player.
Right now I'm playing weekends for fun with a bar band, mostly R&B.
Any suggestions on a good MPC that responds well on these horns?
Thanks

Update
I received the horn from the eBay seller last week. As suspected, the instrument had not been played in a long time. All of the pads were completely dried out...........
I just got home from the shop where I had all of the pads changed together with the replacement of all the corks and felts.
All I can say is WOW!!!! This thing plays with an ENORMOUSLY HUGE FAT SOUND like nothing else I have ever played. I'm hooked and I only have an hour or so of playing time on it.
Back to my earlier question about MPC's.... What works well on these fine instruments?

Hi,
I'm currently playing a lawton 8 and a lawton 8starBBS and like them both. I play in one band with another guy who plays a king marigaux with a link and he gets a great sound too.
The only thing I've heard second hand is that some mpc's with a small bore mess up the horn's fine intonation.
I'd be curious to hear what you settle on.

I'm currently trying out a Dukoff L6 and a Meyer HR 8MM.
Both sound pretty good but I need to get some batteries for the tuner to check out the intonation. Great sound from both so far.............
