Lucky enough, I happened to get one of her albums several months ago after hearing her very slow rendition of "It Had to Be You" (w/ Branford Marsalis) on the radio.
She does have such a soulful voice. Perhaps now that she is gone, her material will become more well known (such as the case with Illonious Jacquet).

Hearing some of her songs on NPR today makes me regret not having paid much attention to her. What a wonderful voice.

Shirley Horn was one of the very few jazz singers I can bear listening to.
RIP Shirley - you were one of the greats.
