help with jupiter sax i.d.

im thinking of buying a jupiter sax that is about 5 years old. there are two #'s on the sax: STS-687 then under that it says 606195. does anybody know anything about this sax? is it decent for a 1st yr sudent to play on? what would this sax normally cost? --thanks

This is the entry level student model (commonly referred to in the US as a 687 GN). It's a good horn but no bells or whistles. The 606195 is the serial #.
I think it is still in production and you might check out their website.
