Have you ever heard of them???They are the best and most entertaining sax quartet in the world!!!!I met them this year during a jazz workshop at UTA....Thrascher features Randy Hamm on soprano,Tim Ishii on alto, Edward Petersen on tenor and Glenn Kostur on bari...check out their webside http://www.thrascher.com

I can really really commend the tunes "52-short" or "Samba-Min". You can listen to ALL their tracks on their web-site...but you have to get the life Thrascher experience!!!!!

ENJOY!!!:D :D :D

Hmm. I wonder if the Rascher Quartet can sue for defamation of character... 8-)

I don't think their name has anything to do with the rascher quartet..in fact they don't know why they are calling themselves Thrascher!!!They are really "unusual"...8-)

Alto Giant-- Thanks for the shout out! That quartet is one of the best musical groups I get to work with. Everyone in the group is so open to trying just about anything on the saxophone (as you can hear on our recordings). I'm hoping that we can get another CD together soon, but in the meantime, the music from our two CDs "Another Sound Thrasching" and "Axes of Evil" are available at http://thrascher.com

By the way, our name is indeed a somewhat tongue-in-cheek tribute to Rascher. It's definitely the kind of thing that only saxophone geeks like us would get!
