Have anyone experience with this kind of saxophone.. ??
Why is everyone so negative about this saxophone, isn't there any good
things about them.. ?
And are every model made in China.. ?

I bought this saxophone, and thinks its a good sax..And use a Lebayle mouthpiece...but I don't know how it should sound since its my first soprano..

Pleace come with both positive and negative comments...

Hi nik-th.

Yes, Winston saxophones are made in China although the SuperBell series are made in Taiwan. What is more important then where it was made is if you enjoy playing it. What one person enjoys playing, the next person may hate.

If you purchased this used, why did the person who sold it to you decide to sell it? If you purhcased it new, it should have been set up to play in tone.

For your first soprano sax, it should be fine. You have done the right thing by purchasing a Lebayle mouthpiece instead of using the one supplied with the sax.

Have fun learning,
deb

According to EMW, my new 303BG (black nickel body, gold plated keys) alto sax was made in Taiwan, in 2004.

Not that it seems the quality is any better than the okay stuff coming out of China...

According to my tech, it's pretty comparable with my 1999 Jupiter Deluxe sop, which he also feels leaves an awful lot to be desired.

That said; my tech felt it worthwhile to invest some time and effort on.
