My brother happens to be a member of a Martial Art's forum, and while he was surfing there I noticed the have something called "Reputation Points".
It's baisically, after every post of your people can give you "Reputation Points" which are points you gain (and can lose if users decide to take off of your points if they don't like what you've writtin or you in general ;-)). After you give/take points you write a commet saying why you decided to do so though not neccecry.
The amount of points you can give/take depends on your own reputation and on how many posts you have.

I thought sinse the forum looks nearly the same, it wouldn't be a problem adding it here, and it could be a good addition to the forum and may incourge people to write more posts.
Here's the link to the site:

This rating system you are talking abou was introduced here when the forum upgrated to this version of vBulletin - There has been many discussions/debate on the subject. Several members opposed to it, others didn't see the point or didn't show any particular interest in such rating system, so, SOTW administration decided to take it off and I don't think there will be plans to put it back any time soon.

I, for one, liked the idea of "reputation points" because you could easily see if the person responding to your posts happens to give good or bad advice. However, life's too short to try to convince people of its value and some folks were vehemently opposed to the system, so it was abandoned. I will not re-enable this feature.
