As I'm progressing with my search, well, more like spinning the wheels, for a tenor, I came a Gary Sugal tenor on ebay, a Brand New Series III. You can see for yourself right here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2532956169&category=16 234

First question: has anyone ever played one 'o these horns?
Next question: can they play?

That's basically what I want to know, along with all of the usual insightful information you guys always seem to have on hand! 8)

I'm still wondering what happened to Sugal's Series I and II. :?

Maybe he's selling those to the vintage market.

If that ad just had some of those little fish-to-cross morph things it would look and sound just like the "fine French engineered" sopranos.

WOW! "...At the "soul" of this instrument is its tapered bore that offers the player a "homogenous" sound..."

i sure wish i had a saxophone with a 'tapered bore' (LOL)

He doesn't make saxophones, but buys them from Taiwan and has his name put one them like everyone else - except the few remaining 'big' name makers. I see he has a full range as well as a flute! Interesting his first model was a 'Series III', I am surprised it wasn't a 'Mark VI'

Bill, You could win a pure carbon model if you come up with the perfect name for it!!!!! Maybe hmmm the Carbon Super Blow-Out Briquet made for playing your BBQ licks.

I think he would prefer something like the Super Collosal Interstellar Mega Gonz (which refers to your wallet after buying one!)
