My new 6m just got in today. I love it. Got it for $450! I was wondering what would be a good mpc? Would a Lakey Jazz or Metal Bari do good? I was also wondering if anyone had any info or tips for me. Serial number of the horn is M253xxx.

Just got one question: What is a micro tuner thingy on the neck used for?

That's what you use to tune...it's a bit slow compared to using the cork, but it keeps the mouthpiece in the best place on the neck and allows you to make very fine adjustments.
Noticed no one took a chance on your mpc query...6Ms are very mpc friendly. Only one thing...the tuning and response might go a little wild if you use the kind of extreme small chamber/high baffle designs as yet undreamed of in 1932. Anything else that works for you should be fine on this horn.
Have fun. Let us know how you're getting along.

Just to expand on that a little, shove the mouthpiece all the way in, and use the microtuner to make adjustments. There should be a thread about that around here, try searching for "microtuner".
I have a slightly newer 6M 345xxx, and currenlty use a HR Runyon Custom (you can hear it on www.frankdemar.com on the clip Time Peace), although I've used a Meyer for more straight ahead work, and a Beechler Bellite for rock stuff. I'm kicking myself for not hanging onto one of those old Brillharts from my high school days, I'll bet that would play great on a 6M.
Good luck, these are great horns.
