Has anyone ever had any major intonation issues with older Bundy saxes (~1980 production date) and remedied it? I checked the intonation using a C* and tuner and then did the same with my Series II to verify I wasn't doing anything bizarre. The tone was also very different.

I have a student who has one and everything from D and above, w/octave, is flat and anything C# and lower, w/o octave, is sharp. And I don't mean sharp by a little, C-natural is almost a 1/4 step high and B-natural is slightly better!

Is there anyway to fix this type of intonation issue? I've never dealt with this before and don't know of any suggestions for my student except to unload the sax somewhere or turn it into a lamp. I'd really appreciate it. My studendt had a Borg and then took it back and purchased what they thought would be something better. I guess 'Resistance is futile'?
