I know that many people will disagree with me on this, but I just think that the SOTW forum has too many sub-forums. I mean, you've got sub-forums for sub-forums! Many of these forums can be combined.

You should post this in the appropriate category and sub-forum. Go to the SOTW main forum page and scroll down to The SOTW forum. Click on this and then scroll down to Forum General Information.DON'T click on specific information or vague information. Once in Forum General Information click on Suggestion Box and Topic requests. DON't click on past suggestions that have been read or future suggestions that won't be read. Right now the Suggestion box and topic requests forum is one forum but is actually 2 different areas of discussion. This was an oversight and they will soon be seperated into 2 different sub sub-forums. Thanks, Director in Charge of Sub-forum Categorization Priorities DCSCP

I'll have a large Italian, everything on it, extra hots, no oil. :)
Then I'll have a large Steak, Egg, Cheese and onion. :|
Then I'll have a roast beef with pickles, onions and mustard. :?
I'm sorry. I thought this was the too many Subs forum.

it was just a suggestion! You don't have to be so harsh about it! :x

I agree; one doesn't always know where to post or look for posts on a new topic.
it was just a suggestion! You don't have to be so harsh about it! :xB.a..s.. you are not reading the above posts correctly. Sleep through "irony" or "sarcasm" in your English lit. class in school, did you? ;) Read the posts again and I think you'll see them in a different light.
Nefertiti - excellent!
FWIW B..a..s.. I agree with you. I just never (I think) posted on the subject because I understand how organising so many topics is so subjective with so many variables and the moderators have their hands full as it is. But...I agree.

Oh yeah, sure sarcasm. :) Forgive me guys, I'm a little slow at that :D
Oh yeah, sure sarcasm. :) Forgive me guys, I'm a little slow at that :DDon't worry about it. Stick around here for long enough and you'll refine it down to an art, LOL! :D
BTW, isn't Slidell in the area of the N.O. Airport? You doin' O.K.?
We were actually wondering where BATS was for a few days. Check out the Katrina forums.
Regarding multiple forum areas, I did sticky the Topic Consolidation thread a long time ago. Its at http://www.saxontheweb.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1548. I will merge this thread and that one tomorrow.
To reiterate another post I made a long while ago, the reason the SOTWF looks like it does is because it's a bit more clean and more people like it that way. If you want the "old style" view, you can bookmark http://www.saxontheweb.net/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=216. Mind you, this link will change if we ever have to move to another web host.
My opinion: the SOTWF is easier to navigate with the subforums and I think some people would even like to see something like "Forum Root > Saxophone Makes and Models > Selmer > Mark VI > Tenor".

And I vote that Nefertiti gets this title, permanently.

Um, that was a Large Roast Beef. :)
Marty, I've routed the sub to your e-mail in box. I'm havening some difficulty with the data-to-beef converter routines. I recommend Subway v. 1.0 or Mr Sub v. 1.0, instead.
Closed temporarily. Back soon.
EDIT: reopened. We now take you back to the rants already in progress:
"I'll merge these threads tomorrow". Make that Friday :).

so where you live do they call it a sub, grinder, or a hoagie sandwich :D
"Hoagie" or "Hoagy" is pretty much localized to the East Coast of the US. I've only heard "Grinder" in Chicago.
I call 'em "subs" or "sandwiches" or "lunch" :).

In this area, all the Greek "House of Pizza" shops have hot oven grinders. When you order a sub, you get a grinder.
This is turning into a too many posts about subs names forum! It deserves it's own forum.
Ah - but in some areas they are referred to as 'hero' sandwiches 8-) ! I think this was an 'Americanization' of the Greek 'Gyros' sandwich - even though they are totally dissimilar  .
Although there is a section of Baltimore known as 'Greektown' with plenty of restaurants serving Greek food, - most restaurants in the suburbs owned by Greeks serve Italian food - and many of the 'Chinese' restaurants are actually owned and run by Koreans :dazed: .
Hmm - I can't wait for a sub through my inbox - I guess I'll have to go to Pastori's Italian Deli for an Italian with everything. (In Bawlmerese- that's Eye-Talian, ya' know - from Itly, hun).
Edit- Marty - tell 'em what they get if'n they order a milkshake.... ;)

And, up in Bahston, watch how you order "coffee." Make sure your southern accent doesn't come through like "cowfee," or you might get a glass of milk.

Here in Bahston, you go to the local Dunkin's and get a medium regulah.
