UK player coming to NYC for 4 days: any advice?

I am a London based tenor player, coming to NYC to have a lesson with Dave Liebman. Any advice about good gigs / jams to go to? I travel to NYC every three or four months for lessons with Lieb, but I want to hook up with some younger players and find out what is happening in the city!!
Any advice/suggestions greatly appreciated!
