I got sick of going through rico 2.5 reeds like TP, so tonight after a bad batch I got pissed and put them in the oven.

Needless to say, these ended up being the best reeds I've ever used.

Did you bake them or broil?

Seriously, what was the process. We can add this to microwaving and drilling.

I thought cooking them straight sounded kind of barbaric so I whipped up something more civilized and appetizing:

Sneaky Pete's Lemon Honey Sax Reeds

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey
5-10 sax reeds

Mix lemon juice and honey in a small bowl.
Add reeds. Soak thoroughly and make sure the mixture covers the reeds completely.
Allow to marinate covered for 2 hours. Best if left overnight.

Preheat oven to 250F.
Arrange the reeds on a cooking sheet
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until slightly browned.

Allow to cool. Serve and enjoy.

I'm gonna try a stir fry with bamboo shoots and some soy sauce next week.
