View Full Version : Keilwerth Altissimo Fingering..
Hi, I've just started to play my Keilwerth SX90 tenor, and I can't get high G or G# or Bb at all. If anyone could help me out, that would be super.
Thanks :)

My SX90R came with a fingering chart in the case that also listed altissimo fingerings. Did you check your case for one? I'm not much in that register, so I haven't really tried them.
I bought mine used. Still has the Mike Smith signed thing in it, but no fingering chart.

Alex,
I haven't tried them, but here's what the chart shows.
G3:
LH - 1
RH - High F# + Bb trill
or
LH - Front F
RH - Bb trill
G#3:
LH - 1 + 2 + 3
RH - C trill
or
LH - 1 + 3
RH - 1 + C trill (maybe 3, depending on instrument)
B4:
LH - 1 + 2 + Palm D
RH - 1 + Eb
or
LH - 3 + Palm D
RH - C trill
I'll try them later and see if they work for me (probably won't since my altissimo chops suck).

If anyone has a link to the recommended fingering chart for the SX90R tenor it would be much appreciated.

Yo George! Look up about 2 inches to my last post. :-)
Hey thanks a lot Morry, that's wonderful.

Yeah, I didn't get one with my Keilwerth. I pretty much figured it out on my own. My fingerings are pretty close to that sheet.

Sorry about that Morry - I had looked at the fingering chart before. In my Luckey book it said that the fingerings from sop-alto-tenor-bari are sometimes different, so I thought there might be a seperate chart for tenor - I'll try the alto fingerings on the tenor and see how they work out.

George, in that picture I posted, the top line is for alto, and the bottom is for tenor.
:o GEORGE!!! Did you look at it, man? They're right there.

yep, I'm a bonehead - initially just looked at the diagrams. I didn't see the tenor shaped neck so just assumed it was all for alto. Guess it really does pay to read sometimes
