I find that saliva tends to accumulate in my mouthpiece. Its either on the reed or the top of piece over the reed. I notice it interfering with my tone as I get to the palm keys. I suck it up but it keeps coming back.
Is there any solution to this. Someone suggested taking antihistamines but that sounds extreme.
On soprano this is also a problem and there the saliva gets in the lower octave hole. I can clear it by blowing over it but its still is a pain.

I usually blow really hard into the mouthpiece/reed from about 2 inches away once between every song, and actually take the reed out and wipe off the baffle of the mpc if it gets bad enough.

I don't often get the spit accumulation... perhaps you don't drink enough water or eat enough. If you are hungry/thirsty when you play for extended periods, you will salivate and it will build up faster. If this happens to me I just suck through the mouthpiece every so often and it usually clears it up for a good deal of time.

Try to apply some lipblam (chapstick) on your MP's baffle, just a little bit but even. I have heavy air & saliva noise before but now it's gone by using this approach. Also, not as much saliva came from the horn now.

I just learn this. Thanks for the persons in this forum who give me this advise.
