Sax players in Louisville, KY area...

I've been playing alto for 40+ years. I just retired from playing in local area big bands and now I'm interested in getting a sax quartet together. It'll probably start out as a rehearsal group, but who knows what might develop.

WG - since you're in Louisville, you may already know about this...

The Cardinal Saxophone Workshop runs July 13-20 this year at U of L Belknap Campus. I went last year and had a great time. You'll do large ensemble playing, quartets, and solo music w/piano, if you wish.

Thanks for the tip Merlin. I've been to several Aebersold camps at UofL, but never to the sax workshop. I'll check that out.
BTW, posting for interested players on this forum and the Google sax groups seems to be working. I just received a reply from an interested player who lives here in Louisville. Thanks again.

I wish I was closer (Paducah) because I'd love to join in...but have you considered posting a notice at Miles Davis' shop? He might know of some interested players.
