Hey all,

I would like to practice with others who live in the Atlanta area. Visit http://www.jazz-o-matic.com and send me an email if your interested. I've been playing now for a little over a year now (since Dec 2001) and though that is not long, I practice about 2 hours a day so I can get around okay...not great yet...but okay!

Jazz-O-Matic is an amazing web site. Great for beginners like me. (I've been playing almost two years.) Well-designed collection of tips on playing, lessons, books, jazz music, etc. SOTW folks ought to take a look at this.

Richard, you must be a professional web designer.

Actually, YES! I am a software develper by trade....and a musician by desire! Originally, I developed the site to document my journey and so, I try to post things that I have found interesting and helpful. Also, I have had some good input from others who share the dream and want to help others achieve their goals.

Having said that, if ya got something you'd like to share, send it to me and I'll post it. If you get a chance, I'd really like some help in the "Practical Practicing" project (see http://www.jazz-o-matic.com for more information.) I'd love to have your input and thoughs on this topic. Furthermore, now that I've got a minidisc recorder, I will be posting some more scale and pattern practice routines I use so stay tuned!

Thanks for the words of encouragement....and keep jammin'!!!

Richard
