I ran a leak light through the new Tenor and found a front pad leak on the low F combingation key. So I took it in to my tech and we actually changed a few things from the way Tim at Sax alley set them up. There was some kind of gunk on the top C key that was a pain to adjust so my tech scraped it off. Some kind of rubber pad sealant??? Then he went down the horn and fixed all the minor stuff. A couple of things that might cause probs down the road was the spongy cork behind the lower stack bar which will compress over time, he reccomended changing the corks to something harder. That felt thing on the low B pad wasn't set right so he fixed it and once again suggested something stiffer that won't change as much over time. That octave key that sticks up off the octave thumb rest was driving me nuts so we got it flatter to the thumbrest (like my The Martin) and it engages quicker now . All in all still happy in the Honnymoon period with the P and it is a great horn for the 1900 I got it for. I'm lucky I've known this tech for the last 12 years and all this took a half hour and he charged me 20 bucks under the table. Glad he's there. K
