just curious if their sound is more selmer or keilwerth?

The Bronze Mauriat was amazing. Way more Selmer than Keilwerth. The Lacquered and Silver played lame - out of adjustment and not very playable.
I would give them a try again.

and gotta say, I'm impressed.
Tim at Sax Alley set it up and did a great job. everything speaks. barks when asked. big, beefy sound that's uniform throughout the horn. easy altissimo. relatively well in tune....
apparently Mauriat isn't doing many low-bflat baris, which is a shame. it's the nice combination of modern keywork/vintage sound...
only gripe after two days playing it: wish it looked like the custom class tenor...
